The Department of Philosophy seeks applications from well-qualified =
applicants in the field of mind and cognition for a permanent post which =
will involve an 80% research-only component for the first five years. The =
succesful applicant will be expected to make a strong contribution to the =
Department's RAE return.

Lecturer in Philosophy=20
(In partnership with the School of Humanities)
Candidates should have a PhD background in the philosophy of mind and =
cognition, with an interest in the possible application of this work to =
ethics. Initial work will involve collaboration with Professor Gregory =
Currie and with colleagues from the Department of Philosophy and the =
School of Psychology to examine the ways in which emotion and imagination =
influence the assessment of biorisk and developing a philosophical theory =
of belief formation that accommodates this dependence. Please quote ref. =

Salary will be within the range =A318,731 - =A323,256 per annum, depending =
on qualifications and experience.
