The Information Engineering Department of the Istituto di
Elaborazione dell'Informazione, an institute of the Italian National
Research Council located in Pisa, Italy, is seeking postdoctoral
students from around the world interested in spending a nine months
period of research in Pisa under the ERCIM Fellowship Programme
2001/2002 in the fields of

- Digital Libraries
- Metadata Models
- Text Retrieval
- CROSS-LANGUAGE INFORMATION RETRIEVAL
- Text Categorization, Filtering and Routing
- Access Structures for Multimedia Information Retrieval

The ERCIM (European Research Consortium for Informatics and
Mathematics) Fellowship Programme 2001/2002 funds fellowships of 18
months duration, to be spent in two of the ERCIM institutes.

The deadline for applications is 31 October 2000.
