TRINITY NLP SUMMER JOB

There is money available to fund some programming work
on Natural Language Processing tools at Trinity.

duration: 2 months
rate: IEP 8 per hour

You would be working with Martin Emms. The initial task would
to convert a pre-existing tagger-program from Perl to C. Also
there may be a need to work on linguistic databases, adding
categorisation information for new words. While familiarity with Perl
would be useful, it is not essential.

The money comes from a project whose concern is the application of NLP
to information extraction from medical/microbiological texts.
