Postdoc Position 1
Qualified individuals are invited to apply for a postdoctoral
fellowship in Computational Linguistics. The fellowship is supported
by the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council of Canada and
provides an annual stipend of $28,000 per year, renewable. A qualified
candidate should hold a Ph.D degree in an area of Computational
Linguistics and have experience in syntactic parsing, preferably
principle-based parsing. Technical experiences with C/C++ and
Unix/Linux on Sun/Window platforms are preferable. The successful
candidate will join the UQAM research team in collaboration with
Princeton and MIT researchers to develop a model of parsing based on
the recovery of natural language asymmetries. See the UQAM homepage

The fellowship is expected to start between now and September

Extraction/Information Retrieval. The fellowship is supported by the
Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council of Canada and provides
an annual stipend of $28,000 per year, renewable. A qualified
candidate should hold a Ph.D degree in an area of Natural Language
Processing based Information Extraction/Information Retrieval
Technical experiences with indexing, morphological and syntactic
tagging are preferable. The successful candidate will join the UQAM
research team in collaboration with Princeton and MIT researchers to
