The Chair of Applied Linguistics at the University of Bonn invites
applications for a temporary six-month contract at the grade of
Assistant Lecturer (Wissenschaftlicher Mitarbeiter - BAT IIa) from 1
October 2000 - 31 March 2001. The successful applicant's main duty
will be to teach two courses in linguistics. Other responsibilities
include assessment, research and administration.
Candidates will be expected to have completed or to be currently working
on a PhD in one of the following areas:
Pragmatics, Sociolinguistics, Discourse Analysis, Second Language Acquisition
or Psycholinguistics.
Relevant teaching experience is an advantage. Ideally, candidates should
be native speakers of either English or German.
The monthly gross salary is approximately: DM 5500 (approx. 2700 USD,
1,900 STG)
