8 new positions are created at University of Sunderland, Computing and
Engineering.
Wrt to this list, we would like to hear from qualified researchers in
intelligent
systems, neural networks, hybrid systems or language processing
and would like to encourage them to apply for a position in intelligent

systems, neural networks/neuroscience, hybrid systems or language processing

The School of Computing, Engineering and Technology draws together
the disciplines of Computing, Information Systems, Engineering and
Technology. It enjoys a strong student base and a growing research
profile, and provides first-class computing facilities. The School
has almost £2M per annum income from research and over 100 registered
PhD research students.
The School is looking to strengthen its staffing complement with a
number of key appointments. All posts require an honours degree, and
a Higher Degree in a relevant area. A relevant PhD and
Membership/Fellowship of the British Computer Society would be a
strong advantage. Excellent communication skills are essential.
Professor of Software Engineering
With an international research profile and a good publication record,
you will provide strong leadership in Software Engineering. You will
conduct teaching and research, and will make a major contribution to
our research culture, demonstrating experience in leading research;
developing external links; managing research funding; and supervising
research students.

Principal Lecturer in Computing
£28,978 - £36,436
A proven team-worker with experience of leadership and
module/programme design, you will lead, motivate and develop a team
of staff on our MSc Programme. You must be currently research
active, and able to deliver high quality, innovative teaching and
research. You will create and develop external links in the UK and
Europe, and some travel will be required.

Lecturer / Senior Lecturer in Computing (6 posts)
£14,902 - £30,636
Experienced in research and with proven teamworking, organisational
and administrative skills, you will undertake high quality teaching,
research and reach-out activities. We require staff with specialised
knowledge in: Computer Systems; Software Engineering; Multimedia/
Media Systems/ Human-Computer Interaction; Intelligent Systems;
Information Systems; Systems Design.
