The Translation and Interpretation School of the University of Geneva has
opened a tenured post in multilingual information processing (Maitre
d'enseignement et de recherche).
Job description: Full-time teaching and research post. Teaching topics
include technology and translation, machine-assisted translation and
computational linguistics. Research topics include multilingual natural
language processing, technology and translation, multilingual information
retrieval and knowledge representation.
Requirements: PhD in computational, formal or theoretical linguistics or
equivalent. Working knowledge of French (courses taught in French);
additional languages desirable. Teaching experience at the university level.
Start date: October 1, 2001 or as negotiated.
