The company: Q-go

Q-go is a customer communication software company. Q-go software
fundamentally improves the way organisations communicate with their
customers. The software developed by Q-go is based on natural language
technology and enables the customer and the organisation to conduct a
normal conversation through the web-site. Q-go software is now available in
Dutch, English, German and Spanish and other languages are being developed.
Q-go's mission is to Make communication in the electronic world completely
natural.
Q-go's focus is primarily on the financial services, telecommunications,
government, public utilities and publishing sectors. It is characteristic
for these organisations that they have a highly differentiated customer
group and generally maintain intensive contacts with their customers. In
their efforts to achieve a high level of quality in customer contacts, they
have selected the Internet as a strategic channel for communications,
service and sales. In addition, the decision-makers in these organisations
take direct responsibility for e-commerce initiatives and for increasing
customer satisfaction. Q-go software has been implemented for instance in
the Dutch Postbank.

Q-go was started up in July 1999 by Berend Metz (CEO) and Stan van de Burgt
(CTO). Q-go's head office is in Amsterdam, and it has national operations
in Amsterdam, Cologne, London and Barcelona. Currently Q-go has a total of
around 55 staff who work together in a very flat, effective structure. The
company is growing rapidly and is backed by a broad financial basis of
venture capital.
The organisation chart of the young, dynamic software company Q-go is very
simple. Under the management team we see a very flat organisation with
short lines. Although every Q-go employee has his or her specific duties,
close intensive collaboration is the keynote from top to bottom and from
left to right in a very open culture of colleagues.
The Q-go team is seeking to make the Internet more readily accessible to
everyone. Just as easy, corporate customers will find their way through the
organisation.
Q-go started initially in the Netherlands by providing Dutch information.
However, the company is pan-European in its objectives and services.
