We are spinning off a company from Indiana University School of
Medicine that will be focused on improving healthcare using natural
language processing. We are looking for computational linguists with a
background in Head Phrase Structure Grammar. I would appreciate your

Medical Reporting Solutions is a new start up company focused on using
natural language processing to improve medical reporting. We offer great

We currently have openings for computational linguists.

Position Description (Job Code CL1):
* Perform linguistic and statistical analysis of a large
corpus of medical reports
* Develop specialized grammars to extract key concepts from
medical narratives
* Participate in the development and testing of basic
components of our language system
Required Qualifications:
* Bachelors or Masters degree in linguistics or computer
science
* Familiarity with Head Phrase Structure Grammar
* Knowledge of one or more of the following areas: natural
language processing, corpus linguistics, computational linguistics
* Ability to work in either Visual Basic or Visual C++
Desired Qualifications:
* Familiarity with the medical domain
* Commercial experience in an area of linguistic technology or
computational linguistics
* Knowledge or experience with XML, SQL, and Internet
technologies
