SCIENCE & TECHNOLOGY STUDIES

STEVENS INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY, situated on the New Jersey shore of the
Hudson River facing Manhattan, is seeking to fill two positions in the
Department of Humanities and Social Sciences. Science and Technology Studies
(STS) encompasses history, philosophy, and social science studies of science,
technology, and medicine. An Assistant Professor will teach undergraduate
courses and play a role in the development of a graduate program. An
Associate or Full Professor will be expected to take the lead in developing
graduate programs in this area of scholarship and also to serve as Department
Director. Applicants for this position should accordingly, show evidence of
administrative interests and skill along with a record of achievement in an
appropriate field of research. Excellent salary and benefits. Stevens is
organized around three schools: a School of Applied Sciences and Liberal Arts
(which includes the Department of Humanities and Social Sciences), a School
of Engineering, and School of Technology Management. A letter of application,

industrial region.
