The Human Science Department of the University of Lausanne (UNIL) and
the Artificial Intelligence Lab of the Swiss Federal Institute of
Technology
in Lausanne (EPFL) are opening 3 positions of:
- 1 project leader (working place: UNIL)
- 2 teaching assistants (1 at UNIL, 1 at EPFL)
working in the framework of the "Swiss Virtual Campus" project. The
successful candidates will be in charge of the design and
realization of a multilingual (French, English + possibly
German) on-line course on Information Theory, from material
produced by the editing comitee.
Required profile:
- Masters degree in Computer Science or Applied Mathematics
(or related domains). For the project leader: Ph.D. or experience in
web course design.
- skills in Web site design, Java / Javascript, HTML, etc...
- French or English as first language; fluency in a second language
(English, French or German).
Experience and interest for distance learning and Information Theory
would be a plus.
Linguists are encouraged to apply.
Starting date: September 2001, in principle. Appointments for one year; possibly extendable (UNIL) till end 2003.
