Two Teaching Fellowships in Philosophy
The Department of Philosophy aims to make two temporary appointments for
the period 1 October 2001 - 31 March 2002.
Post A: Logic and Metaphysics
The person appointed to this post will be expected to help with Logic
teaching for 1st and 2nd year undergraduates during the Autumn term, to
teach a course in Metaphysics for 1st year students during the Spring Term,
and to undertake some tutorial teaching (max. 10 hrs p.w. altogether).
Salary: OR1 Academic-Related scale with payment reduced for part-time work
giving an actual payment of £7000
Post B: Tutorial teaching
The person appointed to this post will be expected to undertake tutorial
teaching (10 hours per week) for 1st year students and, where appropriate,
contribute to the teaching of the courses involved. Salary: OR1 Academic-
Related scale with payment reduced for part-time work giving an actual
payment of £6000

candidates), including a full curriculum vitae and the names of two
referees, should be sent by June 30th 2001 to the Head of Department,
