Rhetorical currently has a number of positions available in its
engineering and business development divisons.
Speech
You will work in our core research team to improve synthetic voice
naturalness. Candidates will have a background in speech research,
and have good programming and experimental skills. While the ideal
candidates will have a background in speech synthesis, we have
found that speech recognition researchers make the transition to
synthesis well, and hence this is an ideal opportunity for such a
person.
Text
This position involves improving text normalization, tokenization and
parsing of input text. The candidates can have a background in any
area of text analysis, including named entity recognition, POS
tagging, statistical parsing and XML.
Sales
As a member of our commercial team, you will be marketing our
speech products to voice portals, call centers, animation and games
companies, and other major customers. You will have a degree in
business, marketing, sales or computer science, or several years of
successful sales experience in software. You have excellent verbal
and written skills, and can understand and articulate technical
information. Although a member of a team, we expect you to show
initiative and individual commitment. You must be willing to travel as
necessary
