The Department of Linguistics at the University of Michigan invites
applications for a tenure track position in syntax/semantics beginning
Fall 2002. We seek outstanding applicants with teaching and research
expertise in formal syntax and formal semantics, preferably with an
interest in the syntax/semantics interface. Primary specialization may
be in either syntax or semantics, and applicants should be able to
relate their research to other subdisciplines and to cognate fields such
as philosophy and psychology.

A letter of application, CV, copies of reprints and preprints and three
letters of recommendation should be sent by November 1, 2001 to
