Temporary Lectureship in the Faculty of Philosophy, University of Cambridge
Applications are invited for a temporary teaching post in the Faculty of
Philosophy arising from the election of Dr Alex Oliver to a Leverhulme
Trust Major Research Fellowship. Candidates are not restricted to any
particular area of specialization in their research but must be prepared to
teach in at least one of the following areas: philosophical logic;
mathematical logic; ethics; philosophy of mind. The successful candidate
will be required to give 40 lectures per academic year; to supervise
graduate students, and to examine at both undergraduate and graduate level.
The appointment will be tenable from 1 October 2002, for a fixed term of
two years. The salary is limited to spinal point 8 (currently £20,465) on
the RA1A scale. Further particulars may be obtained from the Secretary of

Applications should include a curriculum vitae, indicating teaching
experience, a list of publications and work in progress, and the names of
two referees. Candidates should ask their referees to send their reports

later than 27 February 2002.
