Department of Philosophy, Carleton University, Ottawa, seeks applicants
for a tenure-stream position at Assistant Professor level, to begin 2003
July 1, subject to budgetary approval. Area of Specialization is either
(a) philosophy of mind, philosophy of language, metaphysics,
epistemology, or philosophy of science, or (b) ethics or social and
political philosophy, or (c) ancient philosophy or ancient and medieval
philosophy. Area of Competence: open, but some of the Department=92s
hirings in this or future years will be expected to contribute to our
strength in Kantian and post-Kantian philosophy. Ordinary yearly
teaching load is 2+3 plus work with graduate students. The successful
candidate will participate in research activities of the Department.
Carleton University is a research-intensive university in Canada=92s

Masters in Philosophy a Ph.D. in Cognitive Science, as well as a Centre
