BILKENT UNIVERSITY, Ankara, TURKEY.
Bilkent University seeks to fill two junior positions and one senior
position in philosophy. AOS and AOC are open, but applicants should be able
to teach in some of the core areas of philosophy, such as epistemology,
metaphysics, philosophy of mind, philosophy of science, and ethics. Ability
to teach courses on the central figures of ancient and modern philosophy
will also be an asset. Bilkent aims to build a department that will be an
important center for philosophy in Turkey. The language of instruction
throughout the university is exclusively English. Applicants should hold a
Ph.D. degree in Philosophy or should expect to get it by September 2003.
Salary will be commensurate with credentials. Rent-free furnished apartment
on campus is among the fringe benefits. Applicants should send a letter of
