Philosophy, Psychology and Language Sciences

You will be based within the College of Humanities and Social
Science. One chair is in Philosophy (RAE5*), in the areas of either
Philosophy of Mind or Philosophy of Language. Two chairs are in
Psychology (RAE5), in the area of Human Cognitive Neuroscience,
broadly understood. You must have proven excellence in research in the
appropriate areas.

These chairs will contribute to strategic developments in the School,
which was recently formed out of the Departments of Philosophy,
Psychology, Theoretical and Applied Linguistics and English
Language. As part of this strategy, further posts at junior level will
be advertised.

The chair in Philosophy will be tenable from 1 October 2003. The
chairs in Psychology will be tenable from 1 April 2003.
