The Proteus Project at New York University is commencing an exciting
new research program whose purpose is to dramatically improve the
accuracy and availability of machine translation and related
applications. We seek an ambitious research scientist/engineer to
join our rapidly growing team.
The primary responsibility of the position will be to help us fulfill
our contractual R&D obligations. Ideally, our new colleague should
also have the energy and creativity to improve on the state of the
art. At a minimum, applicants should have excellent software
engineering skills. We would prefer that they also have an
empirically-oriented PhD in CS, Math, Physics, or a similar field.
The position will be open until filled, and is expected to start in
