LECTURERS IN PHILOSOPHY
The University of Nottingham SCHOOL OF HUMANITIES DEPARTMENT OF PHILOSOPHY
Lecturers in Philosophy (Two posts) Applications are invited for two
permanent posts in the Department of Philosophy, which was graded 5 in the
2001 Research Assessment Exercise. The successful candidates will be
responsible for teaching at undergraduate and postgraduate levels, the
supervision of research students, research and administration. Candidates
should hold, or be close to completion of, a PhD. Areas of specialisation
are open, however, preference may be given to candidates in any of the
following areas: Moral and Political philosophy; metaphysics, mind and
cognition, history of philosophy, aesthetics, philosophy of language.
Salary will be within the range £20,470 - £27,545 pa, depending on
