Dear all,
From 10.June 2002-10.September 2002 (deviation/extension possible),
the group Cognitive Systems / Speech Recognition
at University of Magdeburg, Germany
invites students for a summer university
"speech recognition". Working language is English.
Participants will take part in lecture and lab courses in
Digital Signal Processing and Speech Recognition. They will then apply
their knowledge within the speech recognition computer lab
installed at the group's premises. Here, Texas Instruments Digital
Signal Processors, Matlab tools for digital signal processing,
and the Hidden Markov Toolkit (HTK) for speech recognition is
available and running.
Students will work in close collaboration with group members on
state-of-the-art problems in digital signal processing and speech
recognition. Results of their work will be integrated
into the group's architecture.
Funding has become available now at very short notice
at a rate of EURO 500/month for non-German students
who are not resident in Germany at the time of the beginning
of the summer school. This is why we announce this
summer university again, though dates for application
and for actual commencement of the summer school are
close.
