Research Assistant / Masters in Computing
The Institute of Technology Blanchardstown is seeking to recruit a
Research Assistant to work on a two year research project at the
Institute, in conjunction with a local technology company. As part of
the contract the Research Assistant will be registered as a Masters
student at the Institute, and will submit the results of the research
as a Masters thesis.
The aim of the project is to research the applicability of Web
Services and component technology within a particular industry
sector. Applicants must hold a degree in computing or equivalent, and
have experience in Java programming with a knowledge of J2EE, EJBs,
XML, SOAP and UML. Experience in the financial services sector would
be a distinct advantage.
The appointment will be on the basis of a fixed term contract for 2
years, with a salary of EUR 28,600 per annum.
