Project: Cognitive Approach to Adaptive User Interface for Search =
Engines (CAUSE)
A PhD studentship is currently available in the Department of =
Information Systems and Computing, Brunel University, UK. The project =
aims to apply a cognitive approach to develop adaptive interfaces for =

The successful candidate will join the Intelligent Data Analysis (IDA) =
research group, led by Professor Xiaohui Liu. The key objective of the =
IDA group is to conduct interdisciplinary research concerned with the =
effective analysis of data and to apply this research to challenging =
real-world problems.=20
Applications are invited from UK/EU citizens who have a First or Upper =
Second Class Degree or Masters Degree in the areas of computer science, =
information systems, mathematics, statistics, or electrical engineering. =
Skills of Internet programming are essential. Practical knowledge of =
data mining would clearly be an asset. To apply for the studentships, =
