Technology Transfer Manager

University of Dublin, Trinity College

Trinity College is expanding its capability to develop its
Intellectual Property portfolio arising from the greatly increasing
scale of research, including programmes funded by recent awards from
the Higher Education Authority and the Science Foundation of Ireland.

The Research and Innovation Service at Trinity College now wishes to
appoint to the new post of Technology Transfer Manager specialising in
the development of Intellectual Property. The successful candidate,
who will join a small team reporting to the Director of Innovation
Services, will develop procedures and projects to review and revise
policy on Intellectual Property to increase awareness of IP, identify
emerging IP with commercial potential, manage its protection and
commercialisation and assist IP management with the various College
Departments, College-affiliated Centres, inter-University and
international projects and start-up companies.

Candidates will be expected to have suitable national or international
experience in the development of IP and of technology transfer and a
sound knowledge of evolving practices in University-Industry
relations.

The appointment will be offered on contract for five years within the salary
range ?43,000-?60,000 per annum, commencing salary to be commensurate
with qualifications and experience to date.
