Minnesota State University Moorhead, Moorhead, MN. Pending
funding. Assistant Professor of Philosophy. Tenure
track. Salary: $43,098-49,678. Appointment begins August 21, 2003. Ph.D.
in philosophy required. AOS: Classical Philosophy, Early Modern
Philosophy, or 19th Century Philosophy. AOC: must include one other from
preceding list under AOS. Must be able to teach Classical Philosophy and
Introduction to Western Philosophy. Must be able to teach at least one of
the following; more than one preferred: Contemporary Moral Issues,
Informal Logic/Critical Thinking, World Religions, Philosophy of Religion,
Symbolic Logic, Existentialism. Opportunity to teach additional courses in
areas of specialization and competence as appropriate to department
needs. The Department is already well-served in Hume, Kant, Aesthetics,
Contemporary Epistemology, and Analytic Metaphysics. Must have at least
one year full-time teaching experience; post-doctoral teaching experience
preferred. Must demonstrate strong commitment to excellent
teaching. Typically 12 credit teaching load per semester. Usual
