Department of Philosophy, University of Western Ontario, London, Canada,
seeks applicants for a two-year Postdoctoral fellowship, with a possibility
of renewal for a third year. The successful applicant will join a team
project on the semantics/pragmatics boundary from the perspective of
cognitive science. Experience combining empirical methods in the cognitive
sciences with philosophy of language would be an asset. Openness to such an
approach is essential.

All Ph.D. requirements must be completed by the starting date of the
Fellowship, currently expected to be May 1st, 2004. Please send curriculum
vitae, teaching dossier, writing sample, research statement, and three

by December 10, 2003. Short listed candidates will be interviewed at the
American Philosophical Association, Eastern Division. This position is
subject to budget approval. All qualified candidates are encouraged to
