Boston University anticipates (pending approval of funding) an opening
for AY 2004-05 for a Visiting Assistant Professor of linguistics with
a specialization in semantics and syntax. Applicants should have a
strong background in linguistic theory, demonstrated teaching ability,
and commitment to undergraduate and graduate teaching and advising.

Candidates with an interest in the position should send -- *ASAP* --
letter of application, cv, and names and e-mail addresses of three
referees, to carol@bu.edu. (Please send only MSWord, rtf, text, or
pdf documents.) Provide contact information for the holiday period,
to enable us to schedule interviews for the LSA meeting in Boston in
January 2004.

A hard copy of those same materials, along with sample publications
and documentation of teaching ability (if available), should also be
