Syntactic Theory and Computation
Qualified individuals are invited to apply for postdoctoral fellowship
in syntactic theory and computation. The fellowship is supported by
Valorisation-Recherche Quebec and provides an annual stipend of $45
000 per year. A qualified candidate should hold a Ph.D. degree in an
area of syntax of natural languages, including Romance and English,
and have experience in minimalist parsing. Technical experiences with
Prolog, C/C++ and Unix/Linux on Sun/Window platforms are
preferable. The successful candidate will join the UQAM research team
in collaboration with Princeton and MIT researchers to develop a model
of parsing based on the recovery of natural language asymmetries. See
