The Department of Human Communication Science,
University College London has studentships for MPhil/PhD starting in
October 2005.

The Department received a 5 rating in the 2001 RAE and has more than 21
academic staff specialising in a variety of fields within Human
Communication Science, organised within three research groupings:
Communication, Disorder and the Brain; Development, Language and Cognitive
Science; and Inter-professional Education and Health Studies. It houses one
Research Centre (Centre for Developmental Language Disorders and Cognitive
Neuroscience; CDLDCN) and anticipates housing the interdepartmental Centre
for Human Communication. For more information about the Department, please

The studentship will pay a stipend of =A312,500 p.a. for three or four
years full-time study (depending on entry qualifications), and
appropriate university tuition fees will be paid. Successful students will
be eligible to undertake a limited amount of teaching and tutoring within
the department. Studentships are open to home and overseas students. Fees
will be paid at the UK/EU rate only, so overseas students will need
supplementary funding from other sources.

Developmental Language Disorders and Cognitive Neuroscience.
