Faculty Position: Language and Speech Processing
The Johns Hopkins University, Whiting School of Engineering, invites =
applications for a tenured or tenure-track faculty appointment in the =
area of automatic speech recognition. Rank will be dependent on the =
experience and accomplishments of the candidate. The School is seeking =
an exceptional person who will play a leadership role in the Center for =
Language and Speech Processing (CLSP), a center involving faculty, =
research scientists, and students from five departments within the =
Schools of Engineering, and Arts & Sciences.
Candidates must have a Ph.D. in a relevant discipline (e.g., electrical =
engineering, computer engineering, computer science); demonstrated =
research accomplishment appropriate to rank desired; and a strong =
commitment to teaching and research. The candidate should be able to =
lead CLSP's automatic speech recognition research programs, and should =
have the experience and ability to participate in major speech =
recognition experimental evaluations. It is expected that the appointed =
candidate will hold an appointment in either Electrical and Computer =
Engineering or Computer Science.
