Research Position in Speech Recognition
in the FLAVOR project
at the ESAT/PSI SPEECH GROUP

A research position is available within the FLAVOR project
studying the integration of complex linguistic knowledge sources
in speech recognition by applying a novel modular architecture.
Focus will be on implementation of the architecture and the resulting
search algorithm
Candidates should have a degree in electrical engineering, computer
science,
informatics or computational linguistics.
Given the type of work, candidates with a proven
programming skill in C or another high-level language will be preferred.
Knowledge of Dutch - the studied language within the project - is not
required,
though it would be an extra asset.
The position is currently open and ends 30 SEP 2006.
This research project is supported by the Flemish government (IWT-GBOU
framework) and is a collaborative
effort between the universities of Leuven and Antwerp.
