Division of Humanities
Faculty Position

The Division of Humanities provides a wide range of general education
in undergraduates and advanced training in MA, MPhil and PhD degree
programs in literature, linguistics, history and anthropology, and
philosophy and religion. The essential medium of instruction is
English. The University's retirement age is 65.

Nominations and applications are invited for a full professor
appointment in Chinese linguistics. Minimum qualifications include an
earned doctorate and a distinguished record of scholarship, teaching
and service. Candidates must demonstrate international recognition of
leadership in the field. Preference will be given to those whose
research is in Cantonese linguistics with a strong theoretical
orientation and/or in areas of expertise that complement existing
strengths of the faculty.

Salary is highly competitive. Starting salary will be commensurate
with experience. Fringe benefits include medical/dental benefits, and
annual leave; housing will also be provided where applicable.
