The National Research Council of Canada is seeking postdoc (or equivalent)
researchers to work at the Language Technology Research Centre (LTRC). We
are especially interested in candidates with a solid background in machine
learning for natural language processing, particularly statistical machine
translation, with strong programming skills. Knowledge of French is also an
asset.
We are a brand new research centre focussing primarily on multilingual
applications. Our ambition is to hire outstanding researchers and become a
leading international centre in this area. Successful applicants will join
a growing team in a friendly research environment, and will be expected to
make fundamental contributions to a variety of exciting and highly-visible
projects. Positions are for 1-2 years, with the possibility of a permanent
placement afterwards.
LTRC is located near Ottawa, Canada's capital and a centre for high-tech,
academic, and cultural activities. Ottawa is a safe, clean, pleasant city
with convenient access to a wide variety of outdoor pursuits.
To apply, please send a CV and a description of your research interests to
