Truman State University, Missouri's highly selective public liberal
arts and sciences university, seeks a linguist or medievalist for a
full-time, one-year position as Temporary Instructor or Assistant
Professor of Linguistics or English beginning August 23, 2004.
Minimum requirement is an M.A. in the medieval area or in linguistics;
A.B.D. or Ph.D. preferred. Successful candidates will have
demonstrated excellence in and commitment to undergraduate teaching
and to a liberal arts environment. Send letter of application, vita,
undergraduate transcripts, graduate transcripts (copies of both
acceptable for now), three recent letters of recommendation,
names/phone numbers/e-mail addresses of three references, and evidence
of teaching effectiveness to Dr. Heinz D. Woehlk, Division of Language
