Ph.D. studentships in Middleware for Mobile, Context-Aware Computing (2 =
posts)
Applications are invited for two research studentships in the =
Distributed Systems Group of the Department of Computer Science at =
Trinity College Dublin, to undertake Ph.D. research in Middleware for =
Mobile, Context-Aware Computing.
Both studentships are supported by a grant from Intel Research, starting =
in 2004 for 3 years duration (subject to satisfactory progress). The =
studentships carry a generous stipend, including fees.
Research projects will investigate models for context acquisition and =
dissemination between mobile nodes, and models for the appropriate =
adaptation of applications based on contextual knowledge. Components =
based on these models will be incorporated into middleware for mobile, =
context-aware, adaptable applications within the range of trails-based =
computing.=20
All applicants should have a good honours primary degree or Master's =
degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related area.
