INESC-ID is one of the largest and most dynamic research
institutes in Portugal in the areas of
telecommunications, information systems and electronics.
Having recently been awarded the status of associated
laboratory by the Portuguese government, INESC-ID seeks
highly qualified candidates holding a PhD with a proven
track record and ability to perform independent research
in one of the following areas:

Communication Networks and Mobility:
IP mobility and ad-hoc networks
QoS in IP Networks
Sensor networks

Micro, Nano and Embedded Systems:
Numerical techniques for computational electromagnetics
Analog and mixed signal IC design
Bio-sensors and bio-actuators
SoC, SiP and MEMS
Dependable, fault tolerant, systems

Spoken Language Systems:
Spoken dialog systems
Speech-to-speech translation
Selective dissemination of multimedia information

Information and Decision Support Systems
Security in distributed systems
Grid computing
Web engineering
Systems and algorithms for biological data analysis

INESC-ID (http://www.inesc-id.pt) invites eligible
individuals to submit their expressions of interest,
which must include an application letter, a detailed
curriculum vitae, a proposal of the activities to be
developed and three letters of reference. All documents

The position is for a fixed term contract of length up
to five years in the scope of a research project
financed by the associated laboratory contract.
