Research Scientist
The following position is available in Boulder, Colorado, U.S.A.
Umbria Communications is growing and hiring top-notch scientists to develop
cutting-edge web mining technology. Our science team is working on advanced
text analysis of vast amounts of data, scalable information retrieval,
learning semantic concepts and lots of cool new stuff.
Requirements:
- Ph.D. in Computer Science or equivalent.
- Strong statistical/machine learning background with emphasis on
statistical natural language processing - text clustering and categorization.
- Experience with scientific computing on large datasets, natural language
processing, information extraction, information retrieval, graph analysis,
distributed systems is a plus.
- Strong experience with: Java/C++/Python development of large software
systems, Linux/Windows environments.
- Proven track record of publications/patents preferred.
- At least 3 years of research experience.
- Enthusiasm for solving challenging problems.
