for a tenure-track Assistant Professor position in Semantics, starting Autumn
2006. Candidates are expected to have their Ph.D. completed by the time of the
appointment.
Candidates should have expertise in formal, model-theoretic semantics, as well
as in the application of classical tools of linguistic analysis to empirical
data. Ideally, their research interests will complement those of existing
faculty at OSU, while interfacing with sub-disciplines of linguistics other than
semantics.
The new assistant professor will be expected to be active in research and
publication, to meet standard departmental teaching requirements and to perform
service duties as required by the department and the university.
