PhD Position in Greece, Crete
On
Speech Processing
A PhD position is available for a period of 3 years at the Institute of
Computer Science of Foundation of Research
and Technology Hellas, FORTH (http://www.ics.forth.gr), in collaboration
with The Computer Science Department
of the University of Crete (http://www.csd.uoc.gr
), Heraklion Crete, Greece. The research topic
is basic research
on speech processing algorithms for speech analysis, with applications
to speech synthesis. The position is financed
by the Research and Development Center of France Telecom. Applicants
should have MSc degree in Electrical
Engineering, or Computer Science or equivalent. A strong background in
Signal Processing and Statistical Signal
Processing is required. Candidates must have followed a graduate or
undergraduate course on Speech Processing.
Knowledge of programming with Matlab is expected.
Estimated starting date: Feb. 1^st 2006
