POSITION: Manager II, Audio Engineering

LOCATION: GREATER BOSTON, MA
Description This person will establish a center of expertise which
creates acoustic and signal processing solutions for the audio
portions of our very well regarded client’s home entertainment
products. Typical products include music systems, high-end AM/FM
radios and CD players, powered speakers and passive speakers.
Ideal candidates will be knowledgeable of digital audio signal
processing and acoustics. The group size will be about 10, a mixture
of acoustic engineers, DSP engineers, and some who are fluent at both.
Management responsibilities will include direction setting, hiring,
performance appraisal, and whatever is required to make certain that
our client’s designs meet or exceed expectations. As time allows,
individual contribution to signal processing or acoustics would be the
norm.
Experience: Candidate should have a minimum of 5 years in digital
signal processing, including prototyping on real time hardware, and at
least 3 years in acoustics. Must be proficient with Matlab and the
signal processing toolbox. Experience in the design of audio systems
is a plus. Design for high volume products is a plus.
Educational Requirements: BSEE, BSCS, or BS physics is required from a
well-regarded academic college or university. Academic coursework in
digital signal processing is required.
