that is going to run jointly at two sites - the University of Wisconsin (with
Dr. Jan Edwards) and Ohio State University (with Dr. Mary Beckman). The
post-doc will be based at the University of Wisconsin, but will also be a
liaison between the two sites and can expect to travel to Columbus, OH about 6
times/year. One focus of the position will be to work out a system for reliable
transcription of lingual obstruents across four languages (Cantonese, English,

The post-doc will also be expected to develop his or her own original research
related to this project. Applicants should have strong experimental phonetic
