The Software and Knowledge Engineering Lab (SKEL) at the Institute of
Informatics and Telecommunications of NCSR "Demokritos" is seeking
to fill one research position in the context of an EC-funded project,
which started in November 2004 and will run for 2 years. The main
responsibility of SKEL in this project is the development of technology
for web content analysis (spidering of domain-specific web sites,
information extraction from web pages).
We are looking for a highly competent programmer, preferably with
experience in research projects, and with significant interest in doing
research. The candidate must be a graduate from an engineering or a
physical science department with provable experience in programming.
Postgraduate studies are very desirable.
Excellent knowledge of English and experience in Java programming are
desirable. Some knowledge of Spanish is also a plus.
The applicants must be citizens of EU or of associated countries.
