Linguist to perform the following tasks:
- Identify and specify patterns in syntax trees that contain certain concepts
- Annotate examples with desired output
- Analyze semantics of words and concepts and relations between them
- Analyze features (aspects of words/syntax/concepts, etc.)
- Help identify and correct linguistics-related errors in current
systems

Additionally, candidates must have a strong desire to learn new things, the
ability to think creatively, excellent communication skills, and the
ability to work in a team environment.

Language Computer Corporation has developed and commercialized
award-winning technologies in natural language processing, specifically in
question answering, information extraction and information retrieval, and
the company has ambitious plans for the future. Language Computer
Corporation is located in the Telecom Corridor area of Richardson, Texas (a
suburb of Dallas).

Requirements:
- Good background in linguistics
- Ability to understand and analyze language and language structures
- Experience working in a Unix/Linux environment

Desirable Qualifications:
- B. S. in Linguistics or Computational Linguistics
- Native English speaker
- Must be thorough and detail-oriented
- Knowledge of or interest in working with basic statistics
