Requirements
Required qualifications:
- Masters degree in Linguistics, or in related area with coursework in Linguistics
- Experience (coursework acceptable) with computational solutions to
language-related problems
- Working knowledge of a language other than English
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work both independently and as a team member
- Excellent writing skills
- Flexibility and willingness to work on a variety of tasks
- Working knowledge of Perl
- Must be able to work in the U.S. (no visa sponsorship available)
- Must be able to work on site

Desirable:
- Basic writing and speaking ability in one of Arabic, Farsi, Panjabi, Pashto,
Korean, Chinese, Thai, Urdu, Indonesian

Job Description
- Write, edit, and optimize phonological and orthographic rules
- Create regression test data sets
- Perform regression and quality assurance testing
- Design and implement prototype applications (desirable but not necessary)
- Prepare lexical resources for product support
- Collect and analyze data and information on names and naming conventions
from around the world
- Write and edit content pages about names
- Various other tasks as required by particular projects
