tenure track position in computational linguistics at the Assistant Professor
level, commencing July 1, 2006. Applicants should have a Ph.D. in linguistics,
with evidence of strong research potential. The appointment will involve
integrating computational linguistics with one or several areas of linguistics.
Preference will be given to candidates able to teach in both English and French
within a specified period of time. At the time of tenure, professors are
expected to have the ability to function in a bilingual setting. Applicants
should submit a c.v., representative samples of their research, and arrange for
three (3) letters of recommendation to be sent directly to the address. All
qualified candidates are encouraged to apply; however Canadian citizens and
permanent residents will be given priority. Equity is a University policy. The
