Post-doctoral position

Description:
The department of Networks and Computer Science at ENST Paris (see
http://www.enst.fr) is offering a position for a post-doc for a duration of at
most 12 months. The applicant will be involved in various projects related to
text mining (Information extraction, clustering, classification). The main
research topic is the identification of named entities in multilingual
collections.
This position is located in Paris, France and should be filled early
2007. Deadline for application is the 31 december 2006. Salary is approx. 1800
euros/month (net), to be discussed depending on the applicant's qualifications.
Qualification:
Applicants should hold a Ph.D. degree or equivalent in computer science or
electrical engineering, with emphasis on text mining, information retrieval or
related topics. Candidates should also have a good working knowledge of natural
language and of machine learning techniques. Knowledge of French is a plus.
