The Department of Linguistics of the Ruhr-Universität Bochum is
seeking:

Research Assistant (male/female) (Wissenschaftlicher Mitarbeiter) with a
degree in Linguistics (Magister Artium, Master of Arts, Ph.D.)

This vacancy should be filled within short.

Main tasks:

- Gathering, evaluating and handling of extensive material such as annotated
corpora, grammars etc.
- Participation in research and teaching (two courses per semester) in
empirical computational linguistics and theoretical linguistics

Required qualifications:

- good skills in a programming language, preferably PERL or Prolog
- emphasis on symbolic or statistical computational linguistics.
