We are a computer start-up in Paris, Qosmos, issuing from the
largest and most prestigious computer research laboratory in
France, the LIP6 laboratory at the Université Pierre & Marie Curie,
Paris VI.
Qosmos provides solutions for the analysis & monitoring of network
traffic flows. Our customers are mainly 3G telecom operators and
managed services providers.
We are seeking a recent computer science graduate (or soon to
graduate - with at least 2 years of computer science studies) for a
traineeship period of 6 months. This in-company traineeship could
lead to a subsequent permanent position with our company.
A native english speaker is preferred, but with a good level of
spoken French. The person must be able to provide level 1 support
over the telephone in both French and English.
Below are the details of the profile we are seeking.
For level 1 support:
Educational level :
Baccalauréat + 2
Work experience :
Ideally 1 or 2 years as a Support Hot-Liner
Competencies :
Linux, TCP/IP networks, ???
Knowledge (tools, technical skills, products, methodology)
Linux / Windows
RT (Optional)
Human skills (savoir être requis pour exercer efficacement le
métier)
Good listening skills
Capapable of interpreting customer problems and needs over the
phone and offering level 1 support in both English & French
Mission with Qosmos:
- Supervise and assister installation of Qosmos probe agents on
IP network of customer
- Carry out basic configuration of probe agents
- Reproduce events contexts of reported incidents
- Offer first level support over phone
The candidate will receive full training on Qosmos products.
Important: The candidate will be required to use French and English
on a daily basis in her/his dealings with fellow colleagues and
customers.
