I am looking to grow my research group. I have funding for about 4 or
5 graduate students. If you know of any suitable candidates, please
send them my way. Even though the deadline has passed and we have
already made decisions and notified candidates, I can get a good
candidate admitted at any time by oferring them an RA.
I am also recruiting undergraduate summer interns for summer 2006. I
am primarily interested in students who are in the summer between
their Junior and Senior year. I would like such internships to be a
mutual exploration of potential graduate study. While there is no
requirement that students continue on to graduate study, I will not
consider students who have already precluded the potential of graduate
study under me, either by having accepted admission to another
graduate program or by having accepted employment.
I can hire about a dozen interns. The stipend will be comparable to a
graduate student stipend. Pending approval, I will also cover
round-trip airfare. Areas of interest include AI, CogSci, machine
vision, robotics, computational linguistics, machine learning,
programming languages, and compilers.
I would appreciate if you could inform suitable candidates of these
available
internships and have them contact me by email if they are interested.
