Applications are invited for three PhD studentships in Natural
Language Technology at the Department of Chinese, Translation and
Linguistics, City University of Hong Kong. The studentships cover
university fees and an annual stipend of HK$110,000 per year
(approximately US$14,000) for successful applicants.
We are looking for applicants interested in pursuing research in NLT
to PhD level. Applicants must have a good honours degree, and ideally
a master's (MSc/MA) or equivalent in Computer Science, Computational
Linguistics, Linguistics or a related discipline. We would be
particularly keen to receive applications expressing interest in NLT
in general and the following areas in particular:
- Corpus linguistics
- Corpus-based approaches to language processing
- Computational lexicon
